Well

My kid walked today.

She's been taking a few steps here and there for the past week or so, and that's been freaky enough. This morning, however, while I was on the phone she pushed herself up off the floor and took 14 steps to walk from one side of the living room to the other.

The last 3 steps were more like running, because she was getting ready to topple over, but hey. It was walking.

My life is about to become a LOT more interesting.

Memo to Livvie:

Thank you for continuing to be above the curve. Your sainted mother loves this about you, and so do I.

However.

Now that you are walking, and burning more baby energies, we (your mother and I and oh, what the hell, probably your dad too and perhaps Xris) would very much appreciate it if you start sleeping six to eight hours per night consecutively.

It is in this ONE area that you are, shall we say, below the curve.

It is in this ONE area that we respectfully request you exert a serious moral effort. You might even take a break from working to accomplish it.

Thank you for your understanding.

Wow that is cool. I mean for her, not so much for you. Unless running after her is a goal of yours. In which case yay for you too! Consider it a way to occupy your afternoons. And mornings.
